Breeders will have access to a rare offering in the next Inglis Digital sale with a share in one of Australia's leading stallions to be made available.

For the first time since he retired to stud at Widden, a stake has been made available in Zoustar.

The son of Northern Meteor has risen to become one of Australia's leading stallions and he will this year be the equal most expensive sire in Australia, to stand at a fee of $275,000.

Widden principal Antony Thompson said buying into the rising 14-year-old, who has already produced the likes of Sunlight, Ozzmosis, Zougotcha, Joliestar and Zoutori, could prove to be a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"Zoustar is the stallion we all dream about, his progeny is proven in both Hemispheres, he throws million-dollar lot after million-dollar lot at the sales and he produces Group 1 winner after Group 1 winner on the track,'' he said.

"You only need to look at his stats to understand just how significant this offering this, his past season on the track alone has been nothing short of phenomenal.

"He throws such magnificent physicals and whether you're there to race or sell, you know it's going to be a huge advantage knowing you have guaranteed access to Zoustar.''

The Zoustar share is being offered on account of Qatar Bloodstock and enables the owner to annual priority access to the stallion – despite Zoustar already fully booked for the 2024 breeding season - as well as a 1/60th share of the pooled income for each year.

The Zoustar share will be the big-ticket item of the Inglis Digital June (Early) Online Sale, which also features a high-quality racehorse section, headlined by the Chris Waller-trained Lazzago.

Bidding on all lots will open at 3pm Friday and close from 10am next Wednesday, June 12.
