Heads You Lose is a half-brother to one of the fastest horses ever seen in Singapore, but the three-year-old emphasised his liking for a little more ground than his siblings at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The Chris Waller-trained colt followed up his narrow debut maiden win over 1500m with a dominant three-length win in the 1600m benchmark 68 event for three and four-year-olds.

Champion jockey James McDonald thinks the son of boom Coolmore stallion Justify has a future.

"He's big and raw, you go left and he wants to go right a tad, so there's plenty of improvement in him," McDonald said.

"He's very well-placed and he's going to progress really nicely because he uses himself beautifully and he can sustain a long gallop."

A $280,000 purchase for China Horse Club and Newgate Farm at the 2021 Inglis Australian Weanling Sale, Heads You Lose is from the Tale Of The Cat mate Tails Wins.

Her first foal was Super One, a son of I Am Invincible, who won his first four starts in Singapore by a combined margin of almost 16 lengths and won a Group 3 D C McKay Stakes (1100m) in Adelaide.

Tails Wins' second foal is Super Too, a daughter of Hinchinbrook who won five races and was twice placed at Group 2 level and is the dam of Invincible Madison, the daughter of I Am Invincible who sold for $1.2 million at this year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
