Dual Group 1 placegetter to be offered for sale in July.
Ralph Satchell wishes he was able to keep his dual Group 1 placegetter Another Award and breed with, but he recognises the upside in having to sell her.
That's what will happen early in July when the rising six-year-old is sold as a racing and breeding prospect via the Inglis Digital July (Early) Sale.
Satchell operates Willow Grove Stud in South Australia and bred Another Award, but is merely part of the ownership group of the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas-trained daughter of Shamus Award, which is why she is being put to market.
"We just thought the time was right to offer her for sale," Satchell said of Another Award, who has placed in the Sangster Stakes and The Goodwood at her past two starts.
"She's in career-best form, we're on the cusp of the breeding season and while I would love to buy her myself, she's too valuable now and as the other owners aren't breeders.
"The best and easiest thing to do was to put her up for sale on Inglis Digital.
"She's a fast mare who excels up to 1400m, she can run in all the big sprint Group 1 races in the spring and into next autumn before commencing a breeding career in 2024.''
Another Award returned to work this week in preparation for a spring campaign should the new owners wish to race her on.
"She's in pristine condition, she came back into the stable (Wednesday) morning, she's a lovely sound mare who's in great form so she's a genuine dual-purpose purchase for somebody because I have no doubt she'll produce magnificent foals as well in time,'' Satchell said.
"Her past two runs she's narrowly been beaten at G1 level, she's had five weeks off since and has spelled extremely well and as people will see in videos and photos in coming days, she's such a good-looking mare, very attractive with a lovely head."
Another Award is one of two big-ticket lots of a sale that will also include She's All Class.
A daughter of champion stallion I Am Invincible, She's All Class finished third in the rich Magic Millions 2YO Classic and second in Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes in 2021 and just two starts ago was fourth in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes.
She's All Class will become just the fifth Stakes-winning two-year-old filly by I Am Invincible to be offered for sale off the track and ready for a maiden cover should the purchaser so choose, following Fiesta ($1,350,000), Invincible Star ($1,450,000), I Am A Star and Fake Love ($505,000).
Entries for the Inglis Digital July (Early) Sale are open until midnight Wednesday next week, July 5.
