Darley has announced the fees for the 18 stallions that they will stand in New South Wales and Victoria this year, with the roster headed by Exceed And Excel (Danehill) who will stand for $132,000 (inc GST).

It will be the third consecutive year that Exceed And Excel has stood for $132,000, with the son of Danehill (Danzig) covering 103 mares in 2020 and 90 last year.

Exceed And Excel will stand at Kelvinside alongside Street Boss (Street Cry), who has enjoyed a successful season on the racetrack and consequently his fee has been subject to a 40 per cent increase to $77,000 (inc GST). The son of Street Cry (Machiavellian) has sired six individual stakes winners in Australia this season, headed by Anamoe who added the Rosehill Guineas (Gr 1, 2000m) and Caulfield Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) to his Group 1 haul.

Street Boss stood for $55,000 in 2021, covering 156 mares, while Bivouac's fee for his second season at stud remains unchanged at $66,000 (inc GST) after he covered a first book of 156 mares last year.

Lonhro (Octagonal) meanwhile has been subject to a small fee decrease to $55,000, down from $66,000 last year.

"It's typical at this time of year to hear how exceptional a roster is. However, it's not until you analyse the key metrics that you unearth the true measure of a roster's quality. That sorts the wheat from the chaff. And that's where the Darley roster excels," said Godolphin Australia Managing Director Vin Cox.

"Consider the significance of just this one statistic: 22 Champions awards. That alone is remarkable. And when you look at what the Darley stallions continue to achieve on the track and in the sales ring, it's a serious roster."

Heading the roster in Victoria is Blue Point (Shamardal) and Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) who will both stand for $44,000 (inc GST). They are joined by Frosted (Tapit), Ghaiyyath (Dubawi), Earthlight (Shamardal), Impending (Lonhro) and Kermadec (Teofilo).

The fees for new additions - who will all stand at Kelvinside - Palace Pier (Kingman) ($55,000), Pinatubo (Shamardal) ($55,000) and Victor Ludorum (Shamardal) ($24,750) were announced earlier this month.

"Any company with a high-end product wants to offer it to the global market. Racing is now a global business and Darley is a global brand. We are fortunate to add to our homegrown stars serious horses who won Europe's stallion-making races such as the Dewhurst, St James's Palace, Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère, the Middle Park, the Juddmonte International and the July Cup," said Cox.

"It's a well-rounded roster and we look forward to welcoming breeders back to our farms to view these remarkable stallions."
