Group 1 winner D’Argento (So You Think) will join the Bowness Stud roster for the 2020 season where he will stand for a fee of $16,500 (inc GST).

Unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile, the Chris Waller-trained son of So You Think (High Chaparral) won on his first start as a three, before going to land the biggest success of his career in the Rosehill Guineas (Gr 1, 2000m) in March in 2018.

While unable to salute the judge as a four-year-old D’Argento produced some good performances, including finishing third behind in the Winx Stakes (registered as Warwick Stakes) (Gr 1, 1400m), while he also posted second place finishes in the Epsom Handicap (Gr 1, 1600m) and Theo Marks Stakes (Gr 2, 1300m).

He retired the winner of four of his 14 starts which saw him accumulate $1,103,525 in career prize-money.

Purchased by Star Thoroughbreds for $135,000 in 2016 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, D’Argento is out of four time-winning Listed-placed Redoute’s Choice (Danehill) mare Fullazz.

Further back this is the family of Group 1 winner Sizzling (Snitzel) and Group 3 winner Written Dash (Written Tycoon).
