ROSEHILL December 24

RACE 7: (5) BACHMAN: Has caught the eye with his two strong efforts since resuming from a spell in shorter 1100m races and should be ready to produce his best stepping up to 1400m, having produced some of his best efforts at this course in this distance range. Drawn to enjoy a soft trail with plenty of pace among his rivals.

RACE 8 (11) HAND FROM ABOVE: Right out of luck when a resuming fifth in a messy race over 1200m at this course on December 10, finishing only 1.2 lengths from the winner without getting a clear crack at them over the last 300m. He had trialled strongly leading into that race and should hold considerable scope for improvement off his first-up effort. Wide draw may work in his favour as he can be ridden quietly off the pace.

RACE 9 (11) SUSPENSE: Returns to action off a seven weeks break since his closing fourth behind Grunderzeit over 1200m at Canterbury on November 5 in a race that has stood up as a terrific form reference as subsequent winners Kuro and Snoopy filled the placings. Seems to race best when fresh with two wins and a third off three previous breaks and looks ready to go after running home strongly for fourth in a fast run Randwick trial on December 13.
