ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 2: (3) VOLUTINA: Looked a much improved filly from her first preparation when she resumed with an impressive win over 1000m at Gosford, leading easily and sprinting home in fast time. She had the benefit of two trials leading into that win and there should be no concern about her handling the step up in class to 1200m. Nash Rawiller stays on board with the addition of blinkers likely to prove a positive move by Gai Waterhouse.

RACE 5: (2) CHOICE WORDS: Proved costly first-up at Rosehill when she missed the start and never got into the race over 1100m. Well worth another chance as her trials leading into that race were excellent and she should respond well to the switch from an apprentice to senior rider Blake Shinn over the extra 100m, even with a 3kg rise in weight. She rates as the one to beat if she can produce the form that saw her beat the classy Malavio over this course and distance in June.

RACE 3: (6) LILLIBURLERO: Bred to be good (Redoute's Choice-Regimental Gal) and certainly looked a filly of high promise when she came off two strong trials to open her career with dominant win over 1400m at Newcastle. She was new to the game but put in strongly over the last 200m and can only be better for the experience with this race a most suitable step as she progresses towards better targets.
