The Money Trail – Wyong, July 25

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Wyong.

Sugarland Express (Race 2) is challenging for favouritism at $2.70 after firming more than a point in early betting. The gelding resumes after only one start last campaign when running second at Gosford so can go well fresh again.

Beacon (Race 3) has been heavily backed into odds-on favouritism at $1.90, the best part of two points shorter than his initial price. The Godolphin two-year-old by Lonhro makes his debut after winning a trial at Rosehill earlier this month.

Bon Equus (Race 8) is now second pick in the market at $4.60 having shortened almost three and a half points. His three runs this time in have been in the city so he looks much better placed back to provincial level.
