Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Monday’s meeting at Tamworth.

Mansqui (Race 5) has come in for some long-priced support so could be worth a place ticket at $31 after opening at 100/1. Her recent form doesn’t read overly well apart from a placing three starts back but the market nibble is worth noting.

Isthmian (Race 6) has taken over as the favourite at $2.45, close to a point shorter than his initial price. She resumes today as a previous fresh winner and has won three of her last five starts so has the talent.

Happy Go Plucky (Race 7) opened as a hot favourite but that hasn’t stopped the punters launching into him, tightening 20 cents as a hot odds-on favourite at $1.55. He has placed at both runs this campaign including at Newcastle last start so looks well placed third up.
