Noviero (Race 1) has tightened his grip on favouritism at $2.05 after firming more than half a point early in betting. The gelding fought hard after leading to go down narrowly on debut and should improve with the benefit of experience.

Tivoli Street (Race 2) is another to assert his dominance on the market as a $2.05 favourite, in 55 cents this morning. The gelding deserves a win having placed at his last four starts including seconds at both runs since a spell and should be peaking third up.

All In The Reflexs (Race 3) is another firming favourite into $3.80, which is a tighten 60 cents on her opening price. She wasn’t far away in Saturday grade last start and had placed at her previous run at this course.

Samadoubt (Race 4) could be worth a bet at $4.60 having firmed four points since markets opened. He was far from disgraced in a stronger race at Rosehill last start and had gone very close at Canterbury before that.

Roman Son (Race 5) is another well-supported favourite at $2.20, almost a point-and-a-half shorter than his initial price. The progressive gelding has won both of his starts at the provincials this campaign and there is confidence he can take the step up to the city.

El Venetian (Race 6) has taken over at the head of the market at $3.60 having firmed more than a point. The three-year-old was brave when runner up at Canterbury last start and had won his maiden on a soft track three starts back.

Cosmic Engine (Race 7) has been a good go and is into $2.80 favouritism after firming the best part of two points. He won when resuming at Newcastle last start and the market push suggests he has come on from that run.
