Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Saturday’s meeting at Randwick.

Nictock (Race 4) has tightened his grip on favouritism at $2.80 having firmed more than two points early on. The gelding resumed with a third in a similar race at this course having won all three runs at his maiden campaign.

Sultan Of Swing (Race 6) could be worth an each way ticket at $5 having tightened two-and-a-half points since betting commenced. He hit the line hard for second at Rosehill last start and has a good record at the mile.

Tessera (Race 7) has been heavily backed into favouritism at $3.10, in more than four points on his initial quote. The three-year-old had been racing well before his last-start failure on the Eagle Farm track and is stakes class at his best.
