New Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou will lay out his vision for the club in a meeting with Harry Kane this week.
Kane will return to training on Wednesday with a talk of a move to Bayern Munich rife. The Bundesliga club are reported to have made a second offer for the England man.
Bayern had an offer of £60m plus add-ons to sign Kane rejected by Tottenham last month. Now Bayern have returned with an improved £70m plus add-ons bid for the England captain, according to Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg.
Postecoglou faced the media for the first time on Monday and the discussion quickly turned to Kane, but the former Celtic boss confirmed he has not asked for any assurances over Kane's future.
"No, I haven't had any assurances and I wouldn't expect any assurances. For me I am trying to concentrate on what I know now and Harry is part of the squad," Postecoglou said.
"I don't think it is my role to sit there and sort of treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I am big on treating everyone the same.
"Harry is already part of the history of this club and I want him involved here. My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful and that is what he wants as well.
"I doubt it will be defining in the manner people think. I want to introduce myself to Harry, give him my vision, get an understanding from him over what his vision is and try be successful."
