Matteo Berrettini made it back-to-back ATP Tour titles by beating Hugo Gaston 7-5 6-3 in the Generali Open final in Kitzbuhel.

Berrettini, beaten Wimbledon finalist in 2021 when losing to Novak Djokovic, powered to victory over France's Gaston in one hour and 21 minutes.

The 28-year-old Italian, a two-time winner at Queen's, won the Gstaad Open in Sweden last week and has not dropped a set in his last 10 matches.

Berrettini is working his way quickly back up the rankings after his 2023 season was cut short due to an ankle injury — he was sidelined for six months — with his latest triumph lifting him up 10 places to world number 40.

Francisco Cerundolo won the Croatia Open title as he beat Lorenzo Musetti 2-6 6-4 7-6(5) in a marathon three-hour final in Umag.

Argentinian Cerundolo, 25, clinched his first ATP Tour title since winning at Eastbourne just over a year ago.
