Fremantle forward Chris Mayne hasn't missed a shot on goal this season, but the same can't be said for his misfiring teammates.

Fremantle's forward line has struggled to fire this AFL season, but one man giving them a straight avenue towards goal is Chris Mayne.

The Dockers have booted a wayward 71.67 this year, but Mayne's radar has been on the money with 10 straight goals to lead Fremantle's goalkicking tally.

Skipper Matthew Pavlich has booted just 7.6, while fellow key forwards Kepler Bradley (two goals) and Jack Anthony (three goals) have tried but failed up forward.

Mayne booted three crucial goals in Saturday night's seven-point win over Gold Coast, but said he would rather see the team kicking big scores than gaining individual success.

"It's never been about kicking goals for me," Mayne said ahead of Sunday's home clash with Port Adelaide.

"That's part of my role but it's about doing what I can for the team.

"It doesn't matter who kicks the goals as long as we're kicking the goals.

"I'm fortunate enough to get on the end of some from the acts of my teammates in defence and midfield, but if we win and I don't kick any, it doesn't bother me."

Fremantle remain hopeful ruckman Aaron Sandilands (knee) will be fit to return against the Power, while speedster Stephen Hill should also be available for selection despite picking up a heavy cork against the Suns.

Port Adelaide lost to Richmond by 37 points on Sunday to slump to a 1-5 record.

But the Power have shown far greater fight this year than their miserable 2011 campaign, when they only narrowly avoided the wooden spoon.
