A final field of 11 has been declared for the Schweppes 2016 Sydney Cup (3200m).

The $2million 2016 Sydney Cup will be run on day two of The Championships at Randwick this Saturday April 9.

Trainer Chris Waller dominates the 2016 Sydney Cup field with three runners, all well favoured in betting markets.

Last year’s runner-up Who Shot Thebarman is the topweight with 57kg for the 2016 Sydney Cup with Blake Shinn taking the ride.

Waller also has last year’s winner Grand Marshal (James McDonald) gunning for back-to-back wins in the 2016 Sydney Cup along with the in-form Libran (Brenton Avdulla) chasing his fourth successive victory.

Trainer Gai Waterhouse will saddle up a pair of 2016 Sydney Cup runners in Café Society (Chad Schofield) and Dee I Cee (Thomas Huet).

David Hayes and Tom Dabernig will run last year’s Sandown Cup winner over the distance, Almoonqith (Hugh Bowman), with Auvray (Tommy Berry) and Destiny’s Kiss (Jason Collett) also accepting.

Other 2016 Sydney Cup runners include Gallante (Kerrin McEvoy), Like A Carousel (Kathy O’Hara) and Bayanova.

The barrier draw for the 2016 Sydney Cup will be held at 5pm Tuesday.
