Champion mare More Joyous has won her latest trial at Randwick this morning as she closes in on a first up run in the Group 3 Canterbury Stakes next month.
It was a clinical 1 ¾ trial success for More Joyous who sat back and let down well in the straight where Strike The Stars and Miss Stellabelle filled the minor placings.
Over 1000m, More Joyous stopped the clock at 58.9secs.
The six-year-old is expected to have one more trial prior to her first up assignment which at this stage will be the Group 2 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) on March 23.
Other notable triallers this morning included Sea Siren who ran fourth over 800m behind a trio of Peter Snowden-trained runners in Altar, Aerobatics and Raspberries.
Heat 3 was an 800m 3YO Trial won by the John O'Shea-trained Shelford with boom filly She's A Fox running third.
It was her first official public appearance since taking out the Listed Rosebud (1200m) at Warwick Farm early in the season.
Four two-year-old heats were conducted during the morning with Safeguard taking out his 800m by a ½ head over Divine Calling in a time of 47.3secs.
