Waller took time out from the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale to make a flying visit home to watch exciting pair Calming Influence and Royal Descent win the first two races at Rosehill.

He capped the day with a return to wining form by Triple Elegance in the Magic Millions Cup at the Gold Coast.

Waller, who returned to the Gold Coast for the final session nof th Magic Milions sale on Saturday night, is now on 88.5 Sydney wins for 2012-13.

With more than six months of the season remaining he continues to be ahead of the required pace to better the record Sydney premiership mark of 156 wins held by Tommy Smith and Gai Waterhouse.

With many leading jockeys absent Josh Parr took advantage to land two Rosehill winners.

Parr won aboard the Peter Snowden-trained Kukri with a well-judged front running ride and completed his double on Melbourne visitor Hadronica for trainer Leon Corstens.

Corstens had expressed some concerns over Hadronica's ability to run a strong 1100m but Parr said the race worked to his advantage as she enjoyed a soft trail behind the leaders.

The favourite Matignon was o9ne of the unluckiest runners of the day as she was badly held up for clear running over the last 400m.

Precautions to conquer the expected heatwave conditions proved unnecessary at Rosehill as temperatures fell well short of the forecast 43 maximum after an early change in the weather.

The forecast prompted stewards to put the start of the meeting back two hours on Friday night but maximum temperatures only reached the mid 30s on Saturday.
