Leading trainer Peter Moody will play a waiting game before deciding on his Warwick Farm runners for the Group One Chipping Norton Stakes meeting.
Trackwork and weather will be key factors in deciding the depth of trainer Peter Moody's Chipping Norton Stakes day team.
Moody's Rosehill satellite stable posted a breakthrough Sydney win at the weekend and he has nominated three horses for Warwick Farm in a bid for more momentum heading into the Sydney autumn carnival.
But only one horse, the Group Two winner Do Ra Mi, is confirmed for the important meeting.
Do Ra Mi, back in Moody's care following a first-up run in New Zealand, has been entered for the Liverpool City Cup and the Wiggle Stakes.
"Both races look strong but we'll probably keep her to the mares' race (Wiggle Stakes) if we can," Moody's racing manager Jeff O'Connor said.
Do Ra Mi has won three races, including last year's Kewney Stakes , but she has been unplaced in three Sydney runs - all at Group One level.
Moody, the dominant trainer in Melbourne, opened his Sydney operation in January but his new venture went winless until Mr Make Believe revelled in soft going to score for Linda Meech at Rosehill on Saturday.
Mr Make Believe is one of 16 entries in the Group One Chipping Norton Stakes but a start for the five-year-old depends on another rain-affected track.
"We've only put in a nomination in case it is going to be a heavy track again," O'Connor said.
"If the track dries out he'll most likely not run."
Mr Make Believe has raced seven times in slow and heavy conditions for five wins.
Weekend plans for Choisir filly Cute Emily will be decided on how she gallops at Caulfield on Tuesday.
A winner of three races from 10 starts, Cute Emily is entered for the Kewney Stakes and Schweppervesence Trophy at Flemington as well as the Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm.
"We'll look at all our fillies after we see how they come through trackwork in the morning," O'Connor said.
O'Connor said winning a three-year-old fillies stakes race in Melbourne was a difficult contract.
"The fillies in Melbourne are outstanding but having said that she'd have to go up against Streama if she raced in the Surround," he said.
