Oakbank Races Review on 16th April 2022

Goolwa trainer David Jolly started the day off well when his charge Rue Vivienne was successful in the 1050 metre opening at Oakbank on Saturday.

Guided to victory by Kayla Crowther Rue Vivienne  was well placed and finished with a rails-run.

Kayla Crowther brought up an early double when she steered Belle Plaisir  to a win in the 1400 metre second race.

Prepared by Tony and Calvin McEvoy Belle Plaisir came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Barend Vorster  joined the winners list when he steered Blue Bear to a win in the 1900 metre third race.

Coming out of the Morphettville stable of Byron Cozamanis Blue Bear came from a midfield position to win.

Frankel Star  who has been in the money in his last nine stars broke through for a win in the 1400 metre fourth race.

Ridden by apprentice Lachlan Neindorf the Matthew Seyers prepared Frankel Star was well placed.

Jockey Barend Vorster landed his second winner for the day when Zoist took out the 1400 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Tony and Calvin McEvoy Zoist came from last with a withering run late in the event to bring up successive wins.

Barend Vorster Brought up his third winner for the day and the second leg of a running double when Defining won the 1400 metre sixth race.

Landing successive wins and giving Tony and Calvin McEvoy their third winner Defining came from a worse than midfield position with a strong run in the straight.

Does It made it two wins in a row when he took out the Onkaparinga Cup which was run over 2150 metres.

Continuing the good success rate of Richard and Chantelle Jolly and having the services of Jake Toeroek Does It came from a worse than midfield position to meet with success.

The training partnership of Richard and Chantelle Jolly continued their day in the sun when All Banter took out the 1100 metre Listed Adelaide Hills Railway Stakes.

Making it a race to race double and giving Jake Toeroek back-to-back wins All Banter was always in the first two.

Trainer David Jolly landed the last winner for the day and the book-ends for the meeting when Toff Love took out the 1000 metre ninth race.

Giving Lachlan Neindorf two winners for the day Toff Love came from a better than midfield position to win in a busy David Jolly finish with Howl coming in a close second.
