Singapore Racing - Weekend Review - August 24

There was just the one meeting in Singapore over the weekend which saw Kiss Your Song take out the Class 3 over 1100m on Friday night.

Settling up on the speed with favourite Nowyousee, the pair battled in out over the concluding 200m which saw Kiss Your Song get the bob and make it three wins in a row, Lord Of Cloud running on for third a further two lengths away.

A maiden after 11 starts, the Shane Baertschiger has gone on to win the next three with his victory on Friday clearly the best of them.

Kiss Your Song who was up in class, returned a new career peak Timeform figure of 75, four pounds above his Class 4 premier win over 1000m the start prior.

Having always shown a bit but struggled to win, the four-year-old gelding is full of confidence at the moment as he makes his way through the grades.

Nowyousee has now notched up two second placings this campaign and was arguably the run of the race with the 57kg, returning a Timeform figure of 82, one pound above his first up effort and three pounds below his third placing to Distinctive Darci last campaign.

The Lee Freedman-trained runner has missed the placings just once in his eight career outings and you would expect still has some improvement to come.

Earlier in the day, Revolution was able to secure a Restricted Maiden win at just his second career outing over 1200m, following a good run for second on debut.

Settling back in the field, Revolution was given a patient ride by Alysha Collett, running on very strongly down the outside to get the better of Boy Next Door in second with Lincoln Moonlight third.

Revolution returned a Timeform figure of 76, four pounds above his debut effort and appears as though he can handle both the turf and polytrack.

The son of Unencumbered certainly looks to have ability and could well be worth keeping an eye on as he works through the grades.

Boy Next Door continues to run well with out winning and ran to a Timeform figure of 74 with Lincoln Moonlight running into third on debut and returning a figure of 70,

With under two lengths between the placegetters, these look the three to follow out of the race going forward.
