Clare Lindop stole an early mark on her rival hoops when she guided Glam Guru to a win in the 1100 metre opening event at Morphettville on Saturday.

Resuming from a spell and winning her first race at start number three the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas trained filly was well placed and came with a rails run to win.

Apprentice Raquel Clark kept the momentum going for the girls when she guided Unscopeable to a win in the 1100 metre second race.

Prepared by Chris Bieg and resuming from a spell and winning her first race at her sixth start Unscopeable was slow away and came from a midfield position with Bieg saying he expects her to be a better horse this time in.

After winning on the Parks track in June the Darren Weir prepared Gun Case won his second Morphettville race when he took out the 1050 metre third race.

Guided to victory by apprentice Victor Wong, Gun Case was well placed and fought on bravely to win.

Prepared by John Hickmott Danouli who was facing the starter for the fifty- ninth time went forward from a rearward position early in the event to settle one off the lead before going on to win.

Showing a liking for soft tracks the Barry Brook prepared Nipperkin brought up a hat trick of wins in the 1200 metre fifth race.

Having the services of in-form hoop Paul Gatt Nipperkin came from a midfield position with a strong run to record her fourth win from fifteen starts.

Trainer Ryan Balfour continued his upward trend when his charge Magnus Knight gave him his fourth win for the season in the 1100 metre sixth race.

Guided to victory by Balfour’s apprentice Dylan Caboche Magnus Knight began well and settled in fourth position, going on to win convincingly.

Raquel Clark landed her third winner for the day when her mount Counter Spin scored his tenth win in the 1200 metre seventh race.

Giving the Macdonald/Gluyas mentoring combination its second win for the afternoon Counter Spin came from well back with a withering run in the straight to win.

Naracoorte trainer Sue Jaensch brought up her third winner in four days when Victory Downs was the narrow winner of the final event which was run over 1600 metres.

Giving apprentice Emily Finnegan her 199th career win Victory Downs was well placed and will now head to the $100,000 listed 1600 metre Balaklava Cup on Wednesday September 13.
