Gawler Races Review - 08/07/2017

Jamie Kah stretched her lead to eight on the city jockey’s premiership when she guided Fancy Rumble to a win in the 1200 metre opening race at Gawler on Saturday.

Being under the care of the training duo of Wayne Francis and Glen Kent, Fancy Rumble led all the way to record her second win from four starts.

The trend of all the way winners continued when Bon Elise took out the 2112 metre second race for hoop Justin Potter and Strathalbyn mentor Peter Moody.

Another front runner Classy Jack was too strong for his rivals and gave trainer John Hickmott and rider Raquel Clark a win in the 1100 metre third race.

Trainer Will Clarken and hoop Todd Pannell continued the front running trend when Breaker of Chains led all the way to be successful in the 1506 metre fourth race.

Hoop Justin Potter brought up a double when the Shane Oxlade prepared It’s Been a Battle came across from barrier 14 to record an all the way win in n the 1200 metre fifth race.

Magic Boy broke the sequence of front runner winners when he took out the 1706 metre sixth race.

Being under the care of Jon O’Connor and guided to victory by Jason Holder Magic Boy came from a rearward position with a strong run late in the event to bring up win number seven from thirty-five starts.

Showing a liking for her home track Lady Silhouette won her second race in a fortnight at Gawler when she took out the 1506 metre seventh race.

Prepared by Gary Searle and guided to victory by apprentice Brandon Griffiths Lady Silhouette came from a midfield position with a wide run in the straight to register her fifth win from eight starts on her home track.

Apprentice Raquel Clark brought up her second win for the afternoon when she guided Battle Brewing to a win in the 1206 metre final event.

Trained by the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas, Battle Brewing was last to begin but with the aid of Clark stuck to the rails where other runners went wide.
