Fox Hall wins 2017 H C Nitschke Stakes Listed $110,000 at Morphettville Parks (SA), 1400m.

Fox Hall began best from barrier 13 but was held from leading and had to take a trail, one off the fence as they settled. From the 800m he maintained that position to the last corner where he got up alongside the leader then took over upon straightening. He edged a half length clear but had a fight on his hands and clawed his way to the line for a hard fought win.

The next three home finished in line, Cappadocia being locked away midfield on the fence rounding the last corner, saving ground along the fence and flashing into second very late.

Weather Channel was also well back turning in and threaded between runners late to grab a close third while Plenty To Like led soon after the start to the last corner, tried to break clear, was caught and tried hard all the way to the line.
