Riziz wins 2017 City Of Adelaide Hcp Listed $110,000 at Morphettville Parks (SA), 1400m.

Riziz, the oldest in the race, took his earnings to $968,975 with this, his fifteenth win in 56 starts. He began well from barrier seven and was caught a little wide but settled midfield, one off the fence. He improved to be in behind the leaders near the last corner yet with continuing momentum ranged up to challenge four wide into the straight. He swept up to co lead at the 300m but began to edge clear soon after, holding on well.

Victory Downs made his move at the 500m, was three wide turning in, led briefly but could not keep up with the winner although he fought well to the post.

Rocket Commander tracked Riziz into the home straight, raced greenly for a few strides then kept on for a solid third while favourite Kenjorwood was last to the 200m and flashed through late to grab fourth, only a nose back of third, when the race was all over
