Smoko ($1.50 favourite) took his record to six wins from seven starts with an easy victory here.
Smoko began quickly and soon crossed to the lead. He then travelled well at a good tempo (first 600m 35.63) before dashing clear shortly after turning for home.
He then went on to score comfortably by three lengths.
Dominating was back in fourth place but was under riding nearing the home turn.
He looked to be struggling at the 300m but responded quite well in the latter stages to finish (3 lengths) second.
The mare Celebrity Miss was second last in the ten-horse field to the 600m. She got through in the centre at the 300m, going to fifth at the 200m and continued to make ground for a sound third.
