Ellawisdom upstaged a strong field to win the Bright Shadow Quality at Eagle Farm on Saturday,

Ellawisdom was ridden quietly and remained at the tail of the ten-horse field before improving nicely (wide) around the home bend. She put in a quick dash at the 200m and then dashed clear for a surprise win.

Avaladyluck was second last to the 600m and was shuffled back to last before switching deep at the 300m. She then came with a strong late run for a good second.

Saturn Rock raced behind the leader, got an inside run and briefly looked the winner when she took the lead at the 200m before holding on for third.

Little Brown Horse fought on for fourth after being handy all the way while the favourite She’s Clean was eighth on the rails, was blocked briefly on straightening, but had clear running on the rails from the 200m before finishing fifth.
