Tinto took full advantage of a below-par Arabian Gold to win the Queensland Oaks on Saturday.
Tinto was away well from the gates and taken forward by jockey Timothy Bell.
She was slightly hampered on the first bend and ended up settling down in eighth position on the outside of the favourite Arabian Gold about six lengths from the leader Tornado Miss who set a good speed in front.
She was under pressure approaching the home turn which she took five wide. She lugged in on cornering with Bell having to straighten his mount. She kept finding under riding, taking the lead out the outside inside the final 200m, before drawing away to score comfortably.
Arabian Gold had every possible chance in the run. She settled down in seventh position on the fence and travelled well under Blake Shinn.
She came between horses on straightening for home under a tight hold. Still nursed into the race, momentarily taking the lead at the 200m, before she tired late on to finish a sound second.
Sister Souss finished on strongly late from midfield for a good third beaten only two lengths. She settled down in 10th position on the fence about 10 lengths from the leader.
She stayed on the fence and was held up for a run until switching out in the clear at the 250m. She finished strongly closer to the fence for a sound third.
Rock Diva was taken back to second last from her outside draw (18). She took the home turn on the extreme outside and stayed on strongly for a good fourth.
