Reparations finished strongly to win the feature at Caulfield on Saturday.
Reparations settled down three wide with a trail in seventh position about five lengths from the early leader Loot ‘N’ Run.
He was under pressure at the 600m and niggled along into the straight cornering on the outside. He came with a determined run and picked up the long time leader in the final strides to score a good win.
Loot N’ Run led early at a moderate pace. He quickened up at the 600m getting most of his rivals off the bit before turning for home. He was well clear in the straight and looked the certain winner but he started to hang out a little late on and just went under in the final strides of the race.
Dany The Fox raced in fourth position behind the leader, before switching out to the middle of the track at the top of the straight. He chased gamely and closed the whole way to the line for a good third.
The first three pulled well clear of the rest of the field who was headed by Brambles who was having in first run in almost two years, to finish a respectable fourth after over racing a little in the early stages of the race.
