Tinto overcame a wide gate to win the Gold Coast Bracelet.
Tinto was used up from her wide barrier (14) to take a forward position settling down in third position one off the fence after being forced to race three and four wide over the first 600m.
She enjoyed a nice trip in the middle stages of the race about three lengths from the leader Toronado Miss. She challenged the leader on cornering before taking the lead inside the final 300m. She looked beaten when Paris Match loomed up on her outside but to her credit she fought back gamely and got the bob in on the line to score.
Paris Match put up a huge performance in defeat. She raced in the early stages in second last position but trapped three wide. Glen Boss elected to improve his position commencing a three wide move in the middle stages of the race. She was forced to sustain a very long run and taking the home turn on the outside. She came with a ominous run in the straight appearing to having the winner covered but justifiably tired a little in the concluding stages to just go under. A big effort.
