Brave Ali led throughout under a good front running ride by Tegan Harrison to hold on to score by half a length.

Brave Ali was inclined to overrace in the early stages of the race but his rider did not fight him and he relaxed well by the middle stages. She increased the tempo approaching the 600m and got a break on the field on straightening for home and had enough in hand to score.

Heartfelt Quest raced in third position on the fence behind the leader. He had every chance in the straight and battled on without ever really threatening the winner.

Secret Garden came from second last to be finishing strongly on the outside for a close third.
