Sistene Demon led all the way to win the Victoria Handicap.
Sistine Demon was away quickly from his outside barrier and showed good pace to lead clearly.
He travelled strongly to the home turn where he quickened away again hugging the rails. He drew right away in the run to the post to score effortlessly by six lengths. A very impressive performance by an underrated horse.
In a cluttered finish for the minor placings Gig worked home best along the rails from fourth last on the home turn for second.
London Stripe came from well back and wide on the turn to grab third late on while the second favourite, Mecir, had every chance finishing fourth.
