Solicit resumed in good order at Flemington to claim the Mittys Vanity, building strongly off her third placing in the Crown Oaks over the spring.

A dominant all the way victory by Solicit who has returned in great order.

Damian Lane used up his mount from her inside barrier to take a clear lead, she stretched the field out over plenty of ground in the mid stages of the race with only the runner up Critical Angel going with her. She poured on the pressure again at the 300m and drew away to the most taking of performances.

Critical Angel was sound in defeat. She chased the leader all the way but just could not much her over the concluding stages, battling on strongly for a sound second some three and a half lengths clear of the third horse.

Girl In Flight had every chance coming from fourth one out. She worked home at one pace to take a distant third.
