Listed Carbine Club Of WA Stakes, November 23 - Ascot

Elite Belle claimed her first black-type win, taking out the Listed Carbine Club Of WA Stakes.

She showed no early pace and was last in the nine-horse field in the early stages.

She was back in seventh place on the rails coming to the turn, switched across heels on straightening, hit the lead passing the 200m and then went on to win clearly by a length and a quarter.

Luke’s Luck raced in sixth place, one off the rails before going wide nearing the home turn. He took a little while to wind up, then put in a good run in the centre of the track, getting to second at the 100 metre marker. He then fought on nicely to hold that position to the post.

The Corporation raced outside the leader (Pin Rouge) challenged shortly after turning for home and kept fighting on to take the minor placing, beaten two lengths.

Bippo No Bungus was fifth on the rails, looked for a run in the centre on straightening but did not get clear until the latter stages and she then finished nicely for (two lengths) fourth, looking a little unlucky.
