Listed Aristocrat Brian Conway Stakes, October 19 - Randwick

Boss Lane did enough to prevail in a tight finish.

In a close four way finish Boss Lane held on to score a narrow win over Mr Jackman, who lunged late on his outside.

Boss Lane settled down outside the early leader Dothraki who he gradually got the better of, to take the lead at the 100m and having enough in hand to hold on to score.

Mr Jackman raced on the winners back throughout, he was a little cluttered up in the straight and when fully clear late lunged but just missed, a solid run.

Dothraki had every chance on the lead and battled on to finish a close third.

The favourite Barbed stumbled after jumping and lost many lengths at the start. He finished on down the outside in the straight but could not pick up well enough in the straight.
