Group 2 Premiere Stakes, October 5 - Randwick

The resuming Arinosa surged home out wide to grab a narrow win in the Premiere Stakes at Randwick.

The highly consistent grey mare Arinosa was ridden patiently as usual.

She was eased to race in 12th place in the 15-horse field. She was giving the leader about ten lengths as the field approached the home turn. She switched out very wide passing the 300m then came with her renowned brilliant late finishing burst to grab a narrow but impressive first-up win.

Dystopia was midfield to the 600m. She got a nice split at the 300m, took a narrow lead at the 150m and was only caught in the last few strides to finish second.

Famous Seamus raced at the tail of the field after starting from barrier 12. He went to the extreme outside on straightening and made up considerable ground for a very good third.

Pinwheel settled just past midfield and was still well back, about tenth as he fanned wide rounding the home turn. He put in a run at the 250m and then battled on for a close-up fourth.
