Feature racing returns to Doomben on Saturday which will see a nine race card and a little bit of rain around as well.

Reach For Heaven has been a mainstay for the Brisbane Best in recent times and despite getting our heart broken when running a narrow second over this C/D last start I am willing to load up again and give him another chance.

The Toby Edmonds-trained runner has been very good in all four runs this campaign, runner up in his last two and he rates well clear of his rivals in this field.

With the 56kg and barrier 10, Reach For Heaven gets the blinkers back on and if he can run up to his last start effort and possibly even improve he will take plenty of beating.

Ryan Maloney remains on board and the $3.60 on offer looks a good bet for the son of Savabeel.

Reach For Heaven will need some luck from the wide draw but if he can get some cover he will be right there at the finish and hard to hold out.

Earlier in the day Snitz returns in the Open Handicap over 1200m and from the inside draw will take plenty of beating.

The Matthew Dunn-trained runner was not out of place in listed company during the winter following a luckless effort when fifth in the Country Championship final at Randwick.

Snitz has a very good record over the 1200m trip and has won two of his three previous outings when first up, including over this C/D last campaign.

From barrier 1 Ryan Maloney is likely to be positive and have him up on the speed and if he runs anything near his best he will be too strong in this.

The four-year-old gelding won on a soft track last campaign at Grafton in the Country Qualifier and this looks a nice returning race for him.

Good luck!
