Mr Colin To Build On Debut Win

Mr Colin will look to build on his strong debut win when he lines up in the Novice over 1200m at Kranji on Sunday.

The four-year-old gelding was terrific in the Open Maiden last start when winning by an impressive four and a half lengths and he has since had a quiet trial in preparation for today.

Drawn a touch wide today with Vlad Duric to remain on board, Mr Colin could find himself closer to the speed today an based on his debut win looks to have strong claims once again.

Mr Colin comes into the race with the highest Timeform rating of the field after running to 77p last start and with likely improvement to come this looks like a nice progression for him today.

The son of Falkirk has certainly ticked all the boxes coming into his second career start and if he runs up to his last start effort he will take plenty of beating.

What’s New shapes up as the main danger, running second on debut before a spell and then returning with a win by two and a half lengths in a Restricted Maiden last start.

The Cliff Brown-trained runner ran to a Timeform rating of 71p on that occasion, running on strongly from midfield and remains over the 1200m trip.

Gets the claim from Amirul and right down in the weights she will be getting to the line strongly once again.

Likely to improve again, What’s New will need a bit of luck from the wide draw but appears to have come back in very good order and looms as a very big danger to Mr Colin today.

Another last start winner Most Favortie is also worth including among the chances second up and is likely to improve off his debut win

Won well over 1100m on the poly at debut, the extra distance should suit but he needs to overcome the awkward draw.

Settling up on the speed last start, Most Favorite should be positive from the widest barrier of nine and expect him to take plenty of running down.

Key Success rounds out the main chances, running well on debut for second before going on to break through in an Open Maiden on the Polytrack last start.

Will push forward again today from the inside draw and likely to improve again will be in this a long way

Good luck!
