The Fred Kersley trained Sandalwood took a good step forward over the mile last start and appears well placed to go back to back at Ascot on Saturday.
Due to contest the third event, Sandalwood clearly relished the step up in trip when aided by a masterful ride from Lucy Warwick.
Only lightly raced, Sandalwood has display good ability and is clearly back in great order.
Although on trial at the trip, he gives the impression it will suit and rates clear off the back of his last start win.
From the middle draw he should be able to settle closer to the speed and is expected to continue his upward ratings spiral.
One of only two last start winners engaged, he should prove very hard to beat.
The Darren McAuliffe trained The Big Show returned in great order last start and appears more than capable of taking that next step in the seventh event.
Lining up against five last start winners, The Big Show faces his sternest test, but is very progressive and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip.
The fact Pike sticks is as good and from the middle draw he can adopt a fairly forward position.
Love backing 3YOs against the older horses at this time of year and he is expected to make his presence felt.
