It's Xmas season and, in the spirit of the occasion, The Melbourne Mail goes Kardashing through the Valley with a one horse hopeful play.
Kardashing lines up in the second race on the Moonee Valley card and at current odds beyond $4.00 we think she looks a terrific little stocking stuffer.
She takes on four last start maiden winners but none of them were out-of-the-box and we can say with a fair degree of confidence that she comes off the best last start performance.
She was good first up at Sandown and then ran really well second-up in good overall time for the class last time. She should cope up in trip now and has the pace to take up a handy position. We've got a list, we've checked it twice, and she's ticking enough boxes to say to say at the current quote Kardashing represents a nice bet.
For an each way play we will laugh all the way over to race six where a freshened Atlantic City looks over-priced at around $12.00 in a wide-open handicap.
Just Hifalutin got past a very good Kievann last time in what looks a key form reference for the race and Atlantic City ties in strongly there. He rattled past Kievann two starts back at Geelong and he backed that up by running fourth in hot handicap at Flemington last time.
He's got a wide barrier to overcome but a strong tempo is tipped and that should break the field up enough for an in-form jockey in Stephen Baster to guide the sleigh in the right direction and jingle all the way home down the outside with a true rail tipped to play favourably.
