Doomben shapes up as a very tough day on Saturday with nine very competitive races on the programme.
Sylpheed will return in the Benchmark 85 Handicap (1200m) for Toby Edmonds on the back of some very strong form in group company last campaign.
Running a solid second in the Group 3 Fred Best Classic, Sylpheed then went on to run a close fifth in the Queensland Guineas before being sent for a spell.
The four-year-old mare will be looking for more ground but does have a turn of foot not many in this race have and she has won two of her three previous first up efforts.
Those two wins came over 1100m and 1200m and she had no luck when resuming over 1200m at Eagle Farm last campaign, running fourth.
Should find a fairly nice spot off the speed from barrier five and despite not having won in 406 days now this is a perfect race to return in and expect her to be very hard to hold out.
The current price of $4.50 looks a good bet with Courtza King and Brooklyn Storm the obvious dangers.
Earlier in the day Miss Exfactor can get punters off to a winning start when she lines up in the Three-year-old handicap over 1200m off some strong recent form.
Having finished runner up to Houtzen before a good win over Shogun Sun, Miss Exfactor was only fair when returning behind Colosimo but was much improved last start when winning at the Gold Coast over 1200m.
Has been given 35 days between runs and from barrier 3 expect Jim Byrne to find the front without too much trouble.
The lightly raced galloper certainly has plenty of ability and if she runs up to her last start effort she is certainly good enough to be beating these.
Like that she is having another run over 1200m and the current price of $2.40 looks a about right.
Good Luck!
