Faaltless To Bounce Back In Kranji Stakes A

Faaltless will look to bounce back to form when he lines up in a very competitive Kranji Stakes A over 1200m on Friday night.

Having returned with a terrific win in the Group 3 Garden City Trophy over this trip two starts back, the Shane Baertschiger-trained runner was unable to measure up over the 1400m in the Group 3 Jumbo Jet Trophy.

Dropping back to the 1200m for this where he has won on six occasions will suit the seven-year-old gelding and if he can run up to anything near his win in the Garden City Trophy he will prove too strong for these.

From the inside draw, Vlad Duric will roll forward again with Faaltless and put him on the speed where he was so good two starts back when beating Wimbledon and Aramco.

The son of Faltlaat has not been winning a great deal of races in recent times however his current form measures up very well against his rivals today and he has a solid enough record when third up previously.

Caorunn was terrific when winning last start in a Kranji Stakes C over Lim’s Shot and Super Fortune and he measures up pretty well today off that effort.

Will carry just the 52kg for this going up in grade but is building a very respectable career record and there was a lot to like about his last start when from up on the speed.

This a tougher task today for the son of Showcasing but he has been progressing well in recent times and looks ready to tackle a race like this.

Likely to find himself up on the speed from barrier 4 and will get a good run throughout which could prove the difference with the 52kg.

Raise No Doubt has been a touch disappointing in three runs this campaign but has been freshened and was very good in a recent barrier trial over 1000m.

Whilst he has not quite measured up in three runs this campaign, the Stephen Gray-trained runner did show very good form last campaign and if he can run up to that level he is certainly a big chance today.

Will carry just the 53.5kg today and from barrier 5 should get a nice run off the speed which should be genuine.

Has raced well in the blinkers previously and would not be surprised to see him fighting out the finish against these.

Spanish Bay will return from a spell and was solid enough in a recent barrier trial over 1000m.

Last seen in November of last year, the six-year-old gelding has had a lengthy spell however generally runs well when fresh with two wins from four starts and placing on the other two occasions.

Expect he will be forward enough with two barrier trials under his belt and on the form he produced last campaign certainly looks a solid each way chance.

Good Luck!
