Best From The West - August 19

The Fred Kersley trained Debellatio appears well placed to make a winning return at Belmont on Saturday when due to contest the second event.

A dominant winner of the Group 3 W.A. Sires' Produce Stakes prior to a break, Debellatio continued to raise the bar and holds a clear class edge over his rivals on Saturday.

Only lightly raced, he is clearly heading the right way and the 1300m should certainly suit first up.

From the inside draw, Debellatio shouldn't be too far away and while giving weight away to all of his rivals, he is still well placed.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Debellatio has a fair bit up his sleeve, and while unlikely to be screwed down, his class should carry him a long way.

Although taking on a few unexposed types, Debellatio already has the runs on the board and more than happy to be in his corner.

With close to 2-1 being offered about his chances, more than happy to bet up.

The Team Williams trained Young Gina is unbeaten from two starts and appears well placed to make a winning return in the sixth event.

Well-related, he appears more than above average and has trialled well the lead up.

Young Gina notably gets the blinkers off for the first time and from the good draw, he is sure to make his presence felt.

Although likely to get back, he should prove hard to hold out late — certainly respect his stablemate Cash On Call.
