Best From The West - August 5

The Brett Pope trained Danes Maree couldn't have been more impressive two back before below her best on the rain affected going last start.

Although unable to justify her heavy market support, her performance behind Cognac still held merit and she is expected to bounce back on Saturday.

The firmer surface will no doubt suit and a return to her best form sees her very hard to beat in the second event.

Yet to miss the money in four starts, Dane Maree has displayed above average ability and the step up to 1200m should also aid her chances.

Talented jockey Skye Bogen-Huber links back aboard and should look to be positive from the awkward draw.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, she sits well clear and simply should be too good for her rivals.

Currently better than 5-2 is being offered about her chances which appears luxurious odds as we have her marked odds-on.

At her best she is very fast and simply should be too slick for her rivals.

The Team Williams trained Cash On Call returned in emphatic fashion at this course and distance last start and appears more than capable of taking that next step in the fourth event.

Only lightly raced, Cash On Call has won three of his six starts and is clearly a galloper heading in the right direction.

Cash On Call simply toyed with his rivals last start and returned decent figures in the process.

From the inside draw he looks to receive all the favours and should prove very hard to beat with the Wizard sticking aboard.
