Tan Tat Diamond will look to continue his terrific form when stepping out at Doomben on Saturday.
Having won his last two outings, Tan Tat Diamond will line up in the Dave Marriott Class 6 Handicap, stepping up to the 1640m for the first time.
Seeing out the trip appears to be the only concern however he has hit the line well in his last two outings and expect him to prove too strong once again.
The Steven O’Dea-trained runner possesses a good record at the course and if he runs up to what he has produced in his last two outings he can certainly make it three on the bounce.
Paul Hammersley who is undefeated from two runs aboard the gelding sticks with him today and he looks a bet at the current price of $3.50.
Would expect Tan Tat Diamond to settle around midfield from barrier 6 and with not a great deal of speed in this it is unlikely to be a strongly run 1640m.
Later in the programme Blueberry Hill returns when he lines up in the Three-year-old handicap (1050m).
The Liam Birchley-trained runner was last seen when finishing midfield in Group 1 company behind Press Statement having just missed in the Group 2 Sires’ Produce at Doomben.
Blueberry Hill, who has missed the placings just once in six career outings will be looking for more ground than what is on offer today but should run well fresh and on best form will be hard to beat.
The current price of $5.50 looks a good each way bet for a horse with her form and with a good record here at Doomben, Blueberry Hill has won her only previous run at the trip.
Would expect her to not be far away in the run from barrier 2 and this looks a very nice race to return in looking towards some feature races during the winter carnival.
Last week saw the bet of the day Lady Jetsetter get punters off to a winning start at Doomben whilst the each way play Pinch River was disappointing.
