Brisbane Best- March 26

Sir Moments will look to build on his solid first up effort when lining up at Doomben on Saturday.

Hitting the line well from back in the field to run a very narrow second at the Gold Coast last start, the Steven O’Dea-trained runner will appreciate the step up to 1350m today.

Sir Moments will still be looking for further than what is on offer today but he has a good record over this distance range, winning 3/6 and will take good improvement from his first up run.

Despite carrying the 61kg, Sir Moments rates well on weight adjusted ratings and he should prove very hard to hold out.

Paul Hamersley remains on board and if he runs anything near his second placing in Group 2 company before a spell he should be winning once again today.

Kraftwerk who is the main danger is likely to push forward and take up the lead however Sir Moments will be running on strongly again late and can return to the winners circle.

Later in the programme Off The Rails heads north on the back of some very good form prior.

The Bjorn Baker-trained runner was not beaten far in the Canberra Cup before running a very narrow third at Rosehill last start.

From barrier three, Off The Rails should push forward and settle on the speed and if he runs up to his recent form he will be very hard to beat in this.

The slight step up in trip is sure to suit and he looks to be around solid each way odds at the moment of $5.

Jeff Lloyd who has won on board the gelding goes back on bored for this and with Adorabeel the main danger he looks a very good each way bet.

Last week saw two potential each way bets with Lauterbrunnen running third and Kalandula running a disappointing eighth.

Good Luck!!
