The Canterbury program has been hit by scratchings however there are still a number of potential wagering prospects scattered throughout the card.

The first is the Chris Waller-trained Disgraceful in the Cellarbrations Benchmark 78 Handicap (1250m).

After a first up win over 1200m at Randwick, Disgraceful again looks to be knocking on the door of another after a pair of narrow seconds over seven furlongs at Randwick.

In a race which has been decimated by scratchings, Disgraceful shapes as a main beneficiary with many of the rivals still remaining struggling for consistency.

The John Singleton-raced gelding is drawn to receive all of the favours from barrier 3 and is yet to run out of the money in three starts on soft ground.

Jockey Sam Clipperton has a strong book of rides at Canterbury on Saturday, largely for the Chris Waller stable and Disgraceful shapes as arguably the pick of them.

In the following event, Allez Chival profiles as an excellent each way play in the TAB More Than Just Winning Benchmark 78 Handicap (1100m).

The mare has done an excellent job for her trainer Lauri Wray, having won five of her nine starts.

The latest of her wins came at this course and distance two starts ago when making all for a slender victory.

From an inside barrier with nothing on her back after the 3kg claim of Jess Taylor, she will look to do the same again.
