We have Tokyo City Cup day at Morphettville with some nice horses going around.

Thinking Race 2 is a two horse race but not totally sold on how Caro Kann is going so happy to tip American Star.

The three year old won impressively at his first start on the Parks track, leading and holding them off easily.

He’ll be better for that experience and should be able to go forward and lead or be with them anyway.

Will be fine on any going and the manner of the debut win was great as it took him a little while to find the front but the turn of foot at the 200m was excellent.

For the other bet we will go for an import from the Hickmott team as Granddukeoftuscany runs over the mile and a quarter first up.

He’s been gelded since he’s arrived and had one run back in March when solid at Sandown.

So many of these imports go a lot better second preparation and he’s had six months to get ready.

Only have to go back to his 3yo days in England when with Aidan O’Brien. He was beaten a fair way in a really fine St Leger. That came after a similar run in the Great Voltigeur. The maiden win was by the small measure of 19 lengths.

Any money for him then get on.
