On what looks a day at Belmont on Saturday where many races are down to two hopes, going to the end of the card for our bets.

Ideal Image makes her return to the track in a 1400m handicap and draws the outside gate.

However she will go straight back anyway and all we need is some pace on.

She had a bit of a luckless campaign last time in culminating in a close up 5th in the Breeders’ Classic at Bunbury. Again she came from well back.

Interestingly at her second start she won at Bunbury and was able to overcome Hashtag by a head. They meet again today and will likely be the two punter’s elects.

One final reminder of her form is that she was running into the likes of Delicacy, Rommel and Disposition during the Summer carnival.

Once again we are sticking with William Pike as he steers Resonates in the last.

This mare resumed in good fashion when second in a harder grade of race to this.

She had won the Matchmaker Classic back in April by a mere four lengths at this very distance.

Now fitter they may just charge straight over from wide and try to control this event. She does race best doing that.
