Really is winter racing now in Adelaide although the fields have held up well. Hoping for some value on the Morphettville card.

Looking to Pistolier to get back into the winner’s list second up.

He has a nice record at that stage of his campaigns. Would love the track to maintain a little softness too.

From this draw he won’t be too far away, tracking the leaders with a speed which should be very genuine.

Going to back him as he can control his place in running here better than the event last time. Confident he can place but we need three dividends.

Do like the chances of Wroclaw on her return to the track in Race 6.

This filly put in some nice efforts in Adelaide before heading to Melbourne in the Spring where she just missed the placings on Melbourne Cup day in a Listed race. Then she found a harder race on Sandown Classic day and wasn’t in the finish.

A spell will have done her good and there looks enough speed here to allow her to drift back (but not too far off the draw) and hit the line hard.

We should get good odds about her on an each way basis.
