In a race where there appears only two strong chances, we are going to tip one having his first run in Adelaide this prep.

Time To Test was part of Tony McEvoy’s string who went from South Australia to NSW. He won all three starts last prep in SA before heading East where he was strongly supported on a couple of occasions.

McEvoy then took him to Flemington on Oaks day and he was hardly poor.

While up in weight he can settle forward in his races which is a positive and can handle all conditions though maybe better with a little give in the surface.

Melaleuca looks the hardest to beat however Time To Test is a winner here before already.

The half-brother to Fawkner goes around on Saturday and while Viking Star doesn’t possess his relation’s ability he does have one real factor in his favour this week.

First up he runs really well. He is coming off a long break but for them to give him another go suggests all is fine now. Often horses of that much time off put in strongly for that first run.

Suspect he will be allowed to settle without any pressure to be there and be running home hard.

He looks a big price here so a small play maybe much more the place than win.
